Student-built medical hardware

Our project teams design, wire, and test real devices. They're open to every member and take new people throughout the semester, including partway through a build.

  • Oxygen Concentrator

We're building a machine that pulls oxygen out of ordinary air — the same idea behind the units used in hospitals and at home. There's mechanical assembly, control programming, and plenty of testing to go around.

  • EEG From Scratch

Building a device that picks up brain activity through the scalp, start to finish, instead of buying one off the shelf. Good for learning circuit design, signal processing, and the software side of turning a very faint signal into something readable.

Build sessions are on the chapter calendar. Come to one and ask what needs doing — that's genuinely how most people start.
